 Do not overheat in the microwave or heat without water. Wash with care. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or steel wool. The size and shape of the product vary due to the manufacturing process of each item, as does the appearance of the unevenness of the colored glaze. Some products may take on a texture similar to burns on the surface. This is a unique glaze effect called "Yo-hen", an unintended change in color that shows up on the ceramic and porcelain after firing.
